Overview

Carnival Sunrise is a 101,509 gross ton cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line, sailing Caribbean cruises from Miami, Florida. Originally launched as Carnival Triumph in 1999, the ship was completely transformed in 2019 through a $200 million bow-to-stern refurbishment at the Navantia shipyard in Cádiz, Spain.

The ship was christened by Kelly Arison, daughter of Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison, on May 23, 2019, at the Manhattan Cruise Passenger Terminal in New York City. The unique ceremony featured a four-foot tall champagne bottle sculpture filled with confetti, custom-made by Brazilian artist Romero Britto.

As the second Destiny-class ship to undergo a major renovation and renaming (joining Carnival Sunshine), Sunrise features modern dining concepts and entertainment venues that bring the ship in line with newer Carnival vessels.
